About the idea
Do you have a kid’s survival book? Where do you get the ideas for outdoor adventures with kids? How do you get your kids to play outside? Where did you get the idea to do that? These questions and so many more are the reason we started Ready Set Adventure Box. Our goal is to create amazing outdoor experiences that can be shared between older and younger adventurers. The intent will be to not only increase outdoor play, but foster a great love for the outdoors and pass on valuable skills that can be applied to other avenues of life. I spent a great deal of my childhood hanging on every word of my grandfather’s stories and playing in my grandparents’ backyard. Blessed with a hunger for adventure and an overactive imagination, I never saw a pile of wood or a flower bed. Instead I saw a fort waiting to be built and a prime place to bury treasure. As I got older my skills grew in the Boy Scouts, Marines, and later in the survival community. As my skills grew, so too did my love of adventurous play and games. When I became a father, I had no idea I was doing things differently than other parents until I started sharing stories of my family adventures with friends and coworkers. Before I knew it, I was getting texts with questions all the time and people were trying to pay me to host kids’ adventures. This series of adventure boxes is an attempt to answer these questions for as many people as possible. It can be hard to get away with little adventurers. What if the adventures and lessons came to you, what if you could have big adventures in your own back yard? Working with local artisans and wholesalers, we will fill the box with valuable adventure items, skills, tasks, and crafts. The money you save on items can be saved for your next big adventure. The time you share in the back yard will not only teach valuable skills and foster a love for nature, but will create moments that will live on forever in your young adventurers’ memories.
About the box
Ready Set Adventure Box is a learning and adventure-based box. Your box contains a hand selected collection of adventure items that can be used both in your home and in your backyard. These items are intended to get younger and older adventurers learning and exploring together and are high enough quality to take on adventures past your backyard when the time comes. This box of adventure gear and ideas is packed and shipped directly to your doorstep. We found the items and the savings and brought them to you. In addition to the excitement of receiving mail, many of the items in the box have guided adventures and lessons that can be accessed at your convenience online. In addition to bringing you great adventures and gear we work with licensed teachers to make sure many of the items are also STEM/STEAM items to help in making the adventure of learning fun.
